A Visit to the RM Family Room and McNats Day

Last week, RMHC DC had some serious Nattitude!

First, Kevin Frandsen visited the DC Ronald McDonald Family Room to see some very excited kids on the Hematology/Oncology floor at Children's National Medical Center.

Then, he and the rest of the Washington Nationals beat the Cubs 13-0 during the McDNats Day on July 5th!

McDNats Day was a way for the McDonald's Family Restaurants of Greater Washington, DC to show their support for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC (RMHC DC) - their charity of choice for 40 years.  Thanks to supporters who dropped change into donation boxes in McDonald's throughout our region, $203,737.98 was raised for RMHC DC!

Proof that small change can really make a big difference.

Also, you may remember baby Forrest?  Well, he's one year old, has finally been discharged from the hospital, and is living at home with his family for the first time in his life!  We were lucky enough to have Forrest and his family join us at McNats Day for some fun with the Nats:

Thank you to the McDonald's Co-Op of Greater Washington, DC for orchestrating this memorable event for us!  And thank you to the Washington Nationals for hanging with us for batting practice, letting Forrest's mom throw the first pitch, and being so friendly!
