From cooking monthly meals at the Houses to purchasing major appliances and necessities for kitchen renovation and deck restoration, these Odd Fellows have been Extraordinary Friends to RMHCDC.

The Odd Fellows are a benevolent fraternal society devoted to charitable works. There is a long, philanthropic history behind what some may call a strange name.

Made up of “common laboring men” whose driving purpose is to help one another and relieve the distress of others, the Odd Fellows have been making a difference in the Washington, DC community for almost two centuries.

The IOOF’s steadfast support for the families cared for by RMHCDC comes from their mission to improve and elevate the character of mankind by promoting the principles of friendship, love, truth, faith, hope, charity and universal justice.  As well as their mission to help make the world a better place to live by aiding each other, the community the less fortunate, the youth, the elderly, the environment and the community in every way possible.

We are so grateful to IOOF Washington Lodge #1 for their continued support and for making a significant and positive impact on the lives of families with sick children.
