Our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile programs operate in partnership with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital to provide services in vulnerable communities that range from primary care, diagnosis, treatment, referral, and follow-up for medical and dental conditions.
All Ronald McDonald Care Mobile services are provided in 40-foot long, 8-foot wide, state-of-the-art vehicles built specifically for delivering pediatric health care services.
- Prevention: We deliver health education, which reduces overall medical costs, addresses behavior and lifestyle choices and helps motivate families to improve and maintain their health.
- Treatment: We provide services ranging from immunizations, preventive check-ups and treatment for chronic and acute illnesses to dental and mental health screenings.
- Referral: Our team works with families to help them get access to ongoing care with specialists as needed.
KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic/Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®
The KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic/Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (KMMC/RMCM) brings primary health care services directly to under-served children in Washington, DC wards 5 through 8. This mobile “doctor’s office on wheels” provides improved access to quality health care where children need it most – in their community.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® focused on FITNESS
The second Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is home to the FITNESS (Fun In Teaching Nutrition and Exercise to Successful Students) Program. The FITNESS Program delivers an innovative curriculum focusing on nutrition and exercise curriculum to students in grades K-8 through a network of community partnerships.
