Volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of Washington, DC

Volunteers are the Heartbeat of the House.

With COVID-19 in mind, we are looking forward to safe ways to work with you again as we prepare to reopen the DC House.

Virtual Volunteer Opportunities

In order to serve families at this time, we are adhering to strict guidelines that prevent us from having volunteers onsite as an extra precaution to keep our families safe. With this in mind, we are figuring out new ways to engage our children and families virtually. If you or someone you know has a talent , we would love to work with you on setting up Family Room Zoom calls. For example, our first call is with our partner organization, Project Knitwell. We will drop off materials at the hospital that allow the children in treatment to participate in a Zoom knitting class, led by Project Knitwell and hosted by RMHCDC.

Provide A Meal

Most importantly, through this transition we are still in need of support to Feed The House! While preparing meals for our families will look different for quite some time, we want to ensure we can still provide yummy meals to our guests. We encourage gift cards, meal drop offs/deliveries from local restaurants, and/or individual frozen meals.

To schedule a delivery, please contact Emma Ravdin at ERavdin@rmhcdc.org or 202-424-2707. Gift cards and checks can be mailed to 3727 14th St. NE, Washington, DC 20017. Donations can also be made online.
