RMHCDC Corporate Champions:
Daikin donated room air purifiers and HVAC equipment and services to RMHCDC to improve air quality and comfort for families facing pediatric illness.
The donated Daikin room air purifiers will provide current and future families of children receiving treatment far from home with comfortable air in the private rooms, isolation suites, and common areas in Ronald McDonald House programs in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Both Ronald McDonald House programs have Daikin heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units installed in each guest suite to bring increased comfort to those little ones who have trouble staying warm or are running hot from treatments. Now, through this partnership, ongoing service will be provided by Daikin service-provider, HAVTECH, to maintain and repair units to ensure availability of suites for families.
While pursuing our mission in support of children and their families, RMHC is committed to sustainability.
In doing so, we are a positive force in:
- deepening the impact of our programs,
- stewarding donor investments,
- protecting and preserving the environment, and
- supporting healthy communities
Supporting Communities
Daikin donated 82 room air purifiers so that RMHCDC families can enjoy improved indoor air. Additionally, Daikin service-provider, HAVTECH, helped replace several heating & air units.
A Legacy of Comfort
Reflecting its commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, Daikin’s donation ensures that pediatric patients and their families will enjoy improved indoor air quality for years to come.
The Sustainability Series Collaboration
Dave and Jenny Marrs, along with their children, were in Washington, D.C. to film an episode of the “Sustainability Series,” a miniseries hosted by Dave Marrs & Marc Bellanger airing on HGTV.
