05 Mar Thank You For Being Logan’s Friend
Meet Logan. He’s Mr. Personality!
He loves smiling, soccer, swimming, and everyone he meets. If he met you — he’d give you a big hug.
Logan was born with congenital cytomegalovirus, a virus that attacked his brain in the womb. Now he lives with Cerebral Palsy, hearing loss, seizures, and other conditions. He spends a lot of time in the hospital for surgeries and treatment. Your gifts make it possible for his biggest champion, his mom Christine, to stay nearby at Ronald McDonald House.
Christine says the House has been a tremendous source of support for both of them. She appreciates being able to talk to other families that understand what it’s like to live with a child’s illness.
“Outside of the House, you’re alone,” Christine says. “Here, I talk with others about how they cope, resources they’ve used, and who to reach out to.”
As for Logan, you might find him happily playing video games with other kids or zooming down the hallway in his wheelchair — attached to a friend’s wheelchair!
You give Logan and Christine comfort, support, and friendship. These gifts are priceless when they’re battling illness far from home. Thank you.
